Results
89.7% of the respondents listen to the radio, and the majority of those respondents
listen to FM radio indiscriminately. Of those who listen to FM, 63% are familiar to
“Dewel”. Of those who are not familiar with “Dewel”, 58% said they haven’t
heard of the program, while 42% said the time is not convenient for them.
Regarding the time of transmission, which the respondents tune in frequently, 10%
said only on Monday, 40.5% on Wednesday only, 28% on Friday only, 13.5% all
the three days and 8% only two days a week. Respondents who have been
listening to the program since it started to be aired in 2001 counts for 12.2%. At
the same time 12.2% counts for those who said have been tuning in for the past 5
years. 75.6% said they don’t remember the exact time.
Issues selected by the audience as important
Respondents found the following issues interesting and useful, because they are
educative and informative. They also explained that the program deals with
diversified issues, which broadens their scope of understanding these social issues.
The issues include among others:
