102.43 R & Rimmediately served on all other parties, and proof of service shall be furnished. Threecopies of the brief or proposed findings and conclusions shall be filed with theadministrative law judge, and copies shall be served on the other parties, and a statementof such service shall be furnished. In any case in which the administrative law judgebelieves that written briefs or proposed findings of fact and conclusions may not benecessary, he or she shall notify the parties at the opening of the hearing or as soonthereafter as practicable that he or she may wish to hear oral argument in lieu of briefs.Sec. 102.43 Continuance and adjournment.—In the discretion of the administrative lawjudge, the hearing may be continued from day to day, or adjourned to a later date or to adifferent place, by announcement thereof at the hearing by the administrative law judge,or by other appropriate notice.26
