Adjudicatory AgenciesNetwork of judicial agencies find ways to team upDepartment of Licensing, Department of Health, Board of IndustrialInsurance Appeals, Office of Administrative Hearings, Growth ManagementHearings Boards (3), Personnel Appeals Board, Marine EmployeesCommission, Environmental Hearings Office, Board of Tax Appeals,Utilities and Transportation Commission.The directors of 13 state agencies that perform judicial functions determined thatthey could exchange more information on a variety of topics to better shareresources. A group was formed so that the agencies could better networkbetween themselves on common issues. Board of Industrial Insurance AppealsInternet site results in 'significant' convenienceSince 1987, the board has produced a publication called "Significant Decisions."It outlines decisions made by the board and is accompanied by microfichecopies of all of the decisions. The publication costs $40.00 initially and yearlyappendices cost up to $10.00.A change allows "Significant Decisions" to be available on the Internet, inaddition to the book with microfiche.Results★ Those interested have convenient access without subscription fees or findinguse of a microfiche machine.★ Costs and staff time will be reduced as the more than 400 yearly subscribersshift from hard copy subscription to using the Internet version.Team members: Dee Mathews and David Threedy.CONTACT: Dee Mathews (360) 753-96462
