Water Resources Development Criteria/<strong>Standards</strong> Manual Chapter 5UNIT <strong>III</strong> - <strong>Sanitary</strong> <strong>Sewer</strong> <strong>Design</strong> <strong>Standards</strong>Pump Stations5.3 <strong>Design</strong> Approach• Complete materials and product selections in accordance with <strong>City</strong> designstandards.• Determine the location <strong>of</strong> the proposed improvements and temporary orpermanent right-<strong>of</strong>-way needs.C. Prepare Preliminary Construction Documents• Develop plan and pr<strong>of</strong>ile drawings for the project. The drawings should bedeveloped in accordance with all provisions <strong>of</strong> <strong>Unit</strong> I – GeneralRequirements.• Conduct a field review <strong>of</strong> the proposed layout to identify any constraintsnot readily identified during surveying.• Meet with <strong>City</strong> staff to discuss and review comments.Three (3) copies <strong>of</strong> the Final <strong>Design</strong> Plans and Documentation shall be submitted toWater Resources.5.3.1 ApprovalsPrior to construction or expansion <strong>of</strong> any sanitary pump stations, the design documentsmust be approved by both Water Resources and IDEM or the local IDEM review entities.IDEM may be contacted directly at the following address to determine requiredsubmittals and associated fees:Facility Construction SectionIndiana Department <strong>of</strong> Environmental Management100 North Senate AvenueP.O.
