Table 4.17 shows the percent of married women knowing a family planning method who thinkthat their husband approves of family planning according to background characteristics. Differences inapproval by urban-rural residence, religion and age am minor; however, better-educated women are morelikely to say that their husband approves.Table 4.18 presents data on the proportion of married women who have discussed familyplanning with their husband in the year prior to the survey. Overall, two out of five women havediscussed family planning with their husband at least once.
