But there aresigns of whether a man has attained His vision.Sometimes he laughs, weeps, dances, or singslike a mad man. Sometimes he behaves like achild – like a five-year old child: guileless, generous, without vanity, not attached toanything, not subject to any of the gunas andalways blissful. At other times he behaves like aghoul: he does not discriminate between purityand impurity; he sees no difference betweenright conduct and wrong. Or at times hebecomes inert, as if he had the glimpse ofsomething unique. So he cannot do any work;he is not able to strive for anything. Is Sri Ramakrishna referring to all the states hehas gone through?Sri Ramakrishna (to the Vaishnava devotee) —‘You and Yours’ comes from spiritualknowledge [22] ; the feeling of ‘I and mine’ isignorance.“Oh Lord, You are the doer, I am a non-doer –this is Knowledge. Oh Lord, all belongs to You– body, mind, home, family, the universe andits living beings – they are all Yours, nothingbelongs to me. This feeling is Knowledge.
