At the time of creation, ether evolvesinto mahat [6] , and from mahat emerges theego. The world is created in this order. It is theprocess of involution and evolution. Thedevotee accepts everything. He accepts notonly the Indivisible Sat-chit-ananda, but alsothe phenomenal world and its creatures.“The yogi, however, treads another path. Hereaches the Supreme Atman [7] but does notreturn. He becomes united with the SupremeAtman.“He who sees the Lord in one limited area onlyis a man of ‘partial wisdom’. He believes thatGod does not exist beyond that particular thing.“There are three classes of devotees. Theinferior class of devotee says, ‘God is outthere’ – in other words, he points to heaven.The mediocre devotee says, God resides withinthe heart as its Inner Controller [8] . And thehighest class of devotee says, ‘God has becomeeverything. Indeed, all I see are His variousforms.’ Narendra used to make fun of this,saying, ‘He indeed has become all – so He isthe pot and the pan.’ ” (All laugh.)
