Managing the firmware on your debug hardware unit4.1 About templates and firmware filesThe debug hardware unit stores templates for each supported device. Each template defines howto communicate with the device and the settings that you can configure for that device. Thetemplates ar provided in a firmware file.ARM periodically releases updates and patches to the firmware that is installed on a debughardware unit. Each update or patch is released as a firmware file. The firmware filename hasthe following syntax:ARM-RVI-N.n.p-bld-type.unitwhere:N.n.pbuildis the version of the firmware.
