Circulation HeatersWATROD and FIREBAR HeatersEngine PreheatersWatlow engine preheaters help maintain a desiredminimum engine temperature to make starting fast andeasy. They also reduce engine wear caused by coldengine starting.Engine preheaters mount conveniently on an engine orrail. The internal thermostat constantly adjusts to ambienttemperature changes to keep engine coolant warm atall times.An internal tank temperature sensor protects Watlowengine preheaters from dry-fire conditions caused by lowcoolant levels or blocked flow.Installation is easy with just two mounting bolts and inletand outlet hose connections.Performance Capabilities• Watt densities from 45 to 90 W/in 2 (7 to 14 W/cm 2 )• Wattages up to 6 kilowatts• UL ® and CSA component recognition up to 480VACand 600VAC respectively• Thermostatically controlled from 60 to 160°F(15 to 70°C)• Alloy 800 sheath temperatures up to 1600°F (870°C)Features and BenefitsAlloy 800 sheath• Minimizes the risk of premature failure in the event of adry-fire conditionIntegral, prewired adjustable thermostat mounted ina general purpose terminal enclosure• Provides a ready to install unitEasy installation with standard 1 in.
