LOUIS COUNTY, MINNESOTA126WHEREAS, the <strong>St</strong>ate of Minnesota Department of Public Safety through the Division ofEmergency Communication Networks has made available $732,760 in funding from theAllied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) Integration grant program forInteroperable Communications equipment for the Northeast Regional Radio Board; andWHEREAS, <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> through its Sheriff’s Office, has offered to serve as the grantadministrator and fiscal agent for this funding.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board authorizesapplication for the 2010 Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) Integrationgrant for Interoperable Communications equipment in the amount of $732,760, to beaccounted for in Fund 100, Agency 136999, Grant 13603, Year 2010, and authorizes <strong>St</strong>.<strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> to serve as fiscal agent for the grant on behalf of Northeast Regional RadioBoard.Adopted April 12, <strong>2011</strong>. No. 193WHEREAS, the <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board appoints citizens to serve on the Civil ServiceCommission; andWHEREAS, the resignation of Mr. Harold Baland has created a vacancy on this commission.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board authorizes the<strong>County</strong> Auditor to advertise and accept applications until May 6, <strong>2011</strong>, for the vacantposition on the Civil Service Commission.Adopted April 12, <strong>2011</strong>. No. 194BY COMMISSIONER NELSON:RESOLVED, that a public hearing will be held at 9:55 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, <strong>2011</strong>, inthe Northland Town Hall, Canyon, Minnesota, for the consideration of the allegations and, ifproven, the suspension or revocation of the intoxicating liquor licenses issued to 5717, Inc.,d/b/a Crossroads <strong>St</strong>ore, Brevator Township, and/or the imposition of civil penalties for theviolations.Unanimously adopted April 12, <strong>2011</strong>. No. 195BY COMMISSIONER NELSON:RESOLVED, that a public hearing will be held at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, <strong>2011</strong>, in the<strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>County</strong> Courthouse, Duluth, Minnesota, for the consideration of the allegationsand, if proven, the suspension or revocation of the intoxicating liquor licenses issued toCurran Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a Makinen Liquor <strong>St</strong>ore, Unorganized Township 56-16, and/orthe imposition of civil penalties for the violations.Unanimously adopted April 12, <strong>2011</strong>.
