Theycan choose between <strong>the</strong> offender undertaking unpaidwork in <strong>the</strong> community, or directly <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>mselves.This provides <strong>the</strong> victim with a practical solution to<strong>the</strong> crimes committed against <strong>the</strong>m, <strong>and</strong> provides<strong>the</strong> perpetrator of <strong>the</strong> crime with <strong>the</strong> opportunity tosee firsth<strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> suffering <strong>the</strong>y have caused by <strong>the</strong>iractions.
