Pilipinas<strong>Shell</strong> Foundation, Inc. (PSFI),<strong>Shell</strong> companies in the <strong>Philippines</strong>(SciP)’s social investment arm, hassucceeded in establishing innovativeprogrammes that made a differencein the lives of over 6 million Filipinosin its 30 years of existence.Established on August 19, 1982,PSFI is a pioneer in pursuing bestpractice projects that respond to theneeds of <strong>Shell</strong> worksites and hostcommunities.Celebrating three decADes ofmeANingful journeyPSFI was the recipient of the<strong>World</strong> Summit Business Award forSustainable Development Partnershipsfor the Malampaya SustainableDevelopment Programme in 2002;Anvil Award and Gold Quill Awardsfor Excellence for Kilusan LigtasMalaria (KLM) in 2003; Gold QuillAwards of Merit for Impok pang-Kalusugan (IpK) in 2004, and for thePandacan Expanded Assistance forCommunity Empowerment (PEAce)in 2007; Governor’s Award inEducation for PSFI’s Sanayan saKakayahang Agrikultura (SAKA) inPalawan in 2009; and was namedby the United Nations DevelopmentProgramme (UNDP) in 2011 asone of the country’s MilleniumDevelopment Goals (MDG) Warriorsfor significantly reducing the numberof malaria cases in the country.PSFI celebrated its 30th anniversaryin a night of revelry and nostalgia onAugust 22, <strong>2012</strong> at the MandarinHotel in Makati City.
