IBSSA official publication 2006IBSSA International Sport FederationThe 2nd Special Israeli System of Military Self Defence - Krav Maga -Instructors Course Israel - October 2005It was the second time we held a special qualificationprogram in Israel, in the form of a week longcourse with quality instruction held in the IsraeliHeadquarters under the watchful eyes of the HeadMaster Prof. Rony Kluger and his staff.The course was a very successful event with veryfine achievements of Mr. János HÜLBER (A),Mr. Gyula SIRA (H), and Mr. Zsolt UDVARI (H),who has qualified successfully.The course covered professional aspects of KravMaga as well as the art of teaching.President of IBSSA - ISF ran a verysuccessful training seminar in CapeTown, South Africa, October 2005In the framework of the IBSSA - InternationalSport Federation activities the President,Prof. Rony KLUGER has been invited to teach avery successful seminar in Cape Town. High rankedMartial Art Teachers joined the activities whichincluded training and a series of lectures.During the visit Prof. KLUGER met with localleaders of the Security Industry and visited localPolice HQ. The visit had an excellent media cover.Excellent year of activities within the fruitful cooperation ofIBSSA and the International Budo Academy.Some years ago IBSSA and the International BudoAcademy signed an official agreement on cooperation.This cooperation turned into some major flourishingactive cooperation during the last year.We started two new faculties: the first is theFaculty of Security Sciences and the latest one isthe Faculty of Alternative Medicine. We alsorun some very successful clinics and training programsin USA, Holland, Israel and of course inHungary. IBA signed an agreement with theEuropean Crime Prevention Institute under theleadership of Prof. Ferenc TÓTH .Within the framework of this agreement we run aseries of very successful seminars in Budapest,withhighly professional and famous lecturers from Israelin the field of Physical Security Systems, InternationalTerror and the latest one is in Psychology. TheAcademic courses proved to be a great success.In Holland we put a firm ground under our activitieswith close cooperation of two of our excellentleaders Dr. Eric Van De Wall, Dean of the Facultyof Alternative Medicine of IBA and Dr. FrankPhilipoom the Head of the IBA Chamber inHolland.During 2005 we held three major events of OfficialAcademic award ceremonies: one in Holland and onein Budapest and a very special one in the USA.During the 2005 AAU National KarateChampionships IBA awarded Joe B. MIRZA AAU legendarypresident and IBSSA International SportFederation Executive President the Degree of Doctorof Philosophy - Budo Education and Leadership.We are looking ahead to very active years of developmentto come.28
