Master DrivesCBD05/20/991 Product description1 Product descriptionBoard CBDThe documentation (English language only) is always included with the board. It is not possible to order thedocumentation separately. The communication board can either be ordered as a spare part or as a package with a mounting kit. The mounting kitconsists of the communication board CBD, manual, connector and mounting components. The mounting kit part number is 6SX7010-0FK00.The communication board only is has part number 6SE7090-0XX84-0FK0The CBD 1 communications board is the DeviceNet interface for the complete MASTER DRIVES series.♦ SIMOVERT FC (Frequency Control)♦ SIMOVERT VC (Vector Control)♦ SIMOVERT SC (Servo Control)♦ SIMOVERT MC (Motion Control)The CBD communications board permits MASTER DRIVES to be coupled to higher-level automation units or otherfield devices via the DeviceNet protocol. The CBD communications board can be simply inserted in the drive electronics box, and operates with all of thesoftware- and hardware versions of MASTER DRIVES. For some drives, a 6SE7090-0XX84-0KA0 adapter board anda LBA board are also required. The CBD supports both DeviceNet Explicit Messages and I/OMessages to implement the equivalent of the process data andparameter data portions of drive communications. For DeviceNet , Explicit Message Connections provide generic,multi-purpose communication paths between two devices. Theyprovide the means by which typical request/response orientedfunctions are performed (for example module configuration).By contrast, DeviceNet IO Message Connections provide specialpurposecommunication paths between a transmitting device andone or more receiving devices. Application-specific I/O data movesacross an I/O Connection. The meaning of the data within an I/OMessage is implied by the associated Connection ID.The CBD supports the Predefined Master/Slave Connection Set asdefined in the DeviceNet specification. Both poll and bit strobeI/O messages are supported.Closed Loop Control on CUor3Technology Board TBDual-Port-RAMCBDDeviceNetThe CBD follows the DeviceNet Device Profile for the Communication Adapter (Device Type 12). TheCommunication Adapter Profile was chosen so that all the flexibility and advanced features of the Master Drive couldbe used by the DeviceNet master. For this same reason, the CBD did not implement the DeviceNet AC Drivesprofile.1 CB = Communication Board, e. g. CBD2 CU = Control Unit, e. g.
