for <strong>Systems</strong> Research. One <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> inventors <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> “<strong>Semantic</strong> <strong>Web</strong>,” Hendler<br />

was <strong>the</strong> recipient <strong>of</strong> a 1995 Fulbright Foundation Fellowship and is a fellow <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

American Association for <strong>Art</strong>ificial Intelligence.<br />

Kevin.Hughes.is a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Surgical Oncology at <strong>the</strong> Massachusetts<br />

General Hospital, USA, where he is <strong>the</strong> surgical director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Breast<br />

Screening Program, surgical director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Breast and Ovarian Cancer Genetics<br />

and Risk Assessment Program, and co-director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Avon Comprehensive Breast<br />

Evaluation Center. He is a graduate <strong>of</strong> Dartmouth College and Medical School, and<br />

trained at Mercy Hospital <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh for general surgery. He did a fellowship in<br />

surgical oncology at <strong>the</strong> National Cancer Institute. Dr. Hughes is an assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />

<strong>of</strong> surgery at Harvard Medical School and was formerly on <strong>the</strong> faculty <strong>of</strong> Tufts<br />

University, <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> California, Davis and Brown University. Dr. Hughes<br />

has served on numerous national and regional committees and is actively involved<br />

in research regarding <strong>the</strong> genetics, screening, and diagnosis and treatment <strong>of</strong> breast<br />

cancer. He is <strong>the</strong> author <strong>of</strong> numerous papers and book chapters on <strong>the</strong> subjects <strong>of</strong><br />

breast cancer, screening, diagnosis and treatment, and risk assessment.<br />

Lakshmi.Iyer.is a faculty member in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Systems</strong> and Operations Management<br />

Department at The University <strong>of</strong> North Carolina at Greensboro, USA. She<br />

obtained her PhD from <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Georgia, A<strong>the</strong>ns. Her research interests are<br />

in <strong>the</strong> area <strong>of</strong> electronic commerce, global issues in IS, intelligent agents, decision<br />

support systems, knowledge management, and cluster analysis. Her research work<br />

has been published or accepted for publication in CACM, eService Journal, Annals<br />

<strong>of</strong> OR, DSS, Journal <strong>of</strong> Global <strong>Information</strong> Technology Management, Journal <strong>of</strong><br />

Scientific & Industrial Research, Encyclopedia <strong>of</strong> ORMS, Journal <strong>of</strong> <strong>Information</strong><br />

Technology Management, Journal <strong>of</strong> Data Warehousing, and Industrial Management<br />

and Data <strong>Systems</strong>.<br />

Aditya.Kalyanpur.is a PhD student at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Maryland, USA, and a<br />

GRA at MINDSWAP. His research interests broadly lie in ontology engineering<br />

for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Semantic</strong> <strong>Web</strong> with a focus on tool support for editing, refactoring, annotating,<br />

searching, and debugging ontology data. He is also <strong>the</strong> principal author <strong>of</strong><br />

SWOOP.<br />

Olena.Kaykova, 1960, received her engineer-system-analytic degree on automatic<br />

control systems from Kharkov <strong>State</strong> Technical University <strong>of</strong> Radioelectronics (Kh-<br />

NURE) (1982). She became a candidate <strong>of</strong> technical sciences in 1989 on technical<br />

cybernetics and information <strong>the</strong>ory. She was acting as docent <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> S<strong>of</strong>tware De-<br />
