About the Authors
Anton.Naumenko.is currently working as a researcher at the Agora Center, University
of Jyväskylä (JYU), Finland. He has a Master of Science in IT from JYU
and in computer science from Kharkov National University of Radioelectronics
(KhNURE). He also earned a Bachelor of Economics from KhNURE. In 2004, he
started postgraduate education with the JYU Faculty of Information Technology.
Anton’s professional career started in KhNURE with a position of technician (2000)
and he is currently a leader of a software development team and a researcher in
SmartResource project. He recently participated in an adaptive services grid integrated
project supported by the European Commission. His expertise and interests consist
of Semantic Web, agent technologies, object-oriented software design, information
management systems, system analysis, and access control models.
Bijan.Parsia.is a research philosopher at the University of Maryland, USA, specializing
in the Semantic Web, description logics, epistemology, oppression theory, AI
planning, and the philosophy of mathematics and computer science.
Cartic. Ramakrishnan. is a PhD student in computer science at the University
of Georgia, USA. He graduated from the Univeristy of Pune, India, with a BE
in computer engineering. He is currently working at the Large Scale Distributed
Information Systems (LSDIS) Lab, University of Georgia. He leads the research
efforts in ontology learning and semantic association discovery with other members
at the LSDIS lab.
A..F..Salam.is a faculty member in the Information Systems and Operations Management
Department at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, USA.
He earned both his MBA and PhD degrees from the State University of New York
at Buffalo. His research interests include e-business and emerging technologies,
intelligent systems in e-business, and information technology management. His
research has been published or accepted for publication in CACM, Information &
Management, eService Journal, CAIS, Information Systems Journal, and Journal
of Information Technology Cases and Applications. He has served as co-guest editor
of a special issue of the JECR and a special section on Internet and marketing
in the CACM.
Sebastian.Schaffert.holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Munich,
Germany (2004). He is currently employed as a teaching and research assistant at
the Institute for Computer Science, University of Munich. His research interests
are in XML and semistructured data, as well as functional and logic programming.
He has several publications on the language Xcerpt and related topics. Besides this,
Sebastian is interested in Linu and Open Source software.
