Roll of Character Building Colleges and is ranked among America's<br />

Best Christian Colleges@.<br />

Seminary to offer a seminary extension program on campus for students<br />

working toward the M.Div. degree.<br />

Christian ensemble, are providing ministry opportunities each week in<br />

churches across our state. CSU's campus ministries department<br />

continues to partner with the SCBC's evangelism team to assist youth<br />

in South Carolina Baptist churches by providing "Connections"<br />

evangelism training.<br />

Convoy of Hope, a ministry that reached 5,300 needy people from the<br />

Charleston area. Through this event and the immediate follow-up, 352<br />

people came to know Christ as their savior.<br />

Great Commission. Since the summer of 2005, CSU's faculty, staff,<br />

and students have served the Lord in Guatemala. Romania. the<br />

Dominican Republic, Mexico, England/Scotland, Philippines, Moldova,<br />

Hungary, South Afiica, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Chile.<br />

partnered with Dr. Jay Strack's Student Leadership University. Under<br />

the leadership of some of America's most influential leaders, four<br />

interns from CSU ministered top students from around the world.<br />

Currently, 321 adtit and non-traditional students are on track to obtain a<br />

baccalaureate degree through CSU's Bachelor of Management Arts<br />

progrilm.<br />

The University's planners have determined that 80 acres of campus<br />

property, adjacent tol-26, will be surplus to our needs for many years<br />

in the future. With this in mind, our Trustees decided that this property<br />

will be leased and developed into a business medical park. The<br />

University broke ground on the new Wingate Hotel in August. All<br />

proceeds from the lease/developrnent of this land will be used for<br />

student scholarships and other University projects.<br />

The University staff and trustees continue to work diligently to raise the<br />

$3 million needed for the construction of a Christian Iradership Center.<br />

The CLC will enhance CSU's emphasis on impacting our culture by<br />

promoting a Christian Worldview.<br />

CSU's student-athletes continue to demonstrate excellence on the field<br />

of competition as well as in the classroom. This past year, 90 of our<br />

student-athletes were named to the Big South Conference Presidential<br />

Honor Roll. This honor is extended to student-athletes who achieve a<br />

GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.<br />

The 2005-2006 academic year marked CSU's 21't year working within<br />

a balanced budget.<br />

The University partnered with SCBC associations and churches on<br />

numerous initiatives this past year:<br />

o E.P.I.C. (Equipping People in Church Leadership) held its<br />

conference for church staff and laity at CSU this past year.
