According to the KMK, institutions should choose thetitles of their degrees depending on the subject area and on whether the programme is moreadequately described as theory-oriented or applied (Chapter 2). The KMK recommendsgeneral titles for theory-oriented and specific titles for applied degrees. It is therefore interestingto see which choices institutions made.
