13 MeasurementsRise TimeFall TimeDelayThe rise time of a signal is the time difference between the crossing of thelower threshold and the crossing of the upper threshold for apositive- going edge. The X cursor shows the edge being measured. Formaximum measurement accuracy, set the horizontal time/div as fast aspossible while leaving the complete rising edge of the waveform on thedisplay. The Y cursors show the lower and upper threshold points. The fall time of a signal is the time difference between the crossing of theupper threshold and the crossing of the lower threshold for anegative- going edge. The X cursor shows the edge being measured. Formaximum measurement accuracy, set the horizontal time/div as fast aspossible while leaving the complete falling edge of the waveform on thedisplay. The Y cursors show the lower and upper threshold points.Delay measures the time difference from the selected edge on source 1and the selected edge on source 2 closest to the trigger reference point atthe middle threshold points on the waveforms. Negative delay valuesindicate that the selected edge of source 1 occurred after the selectededge of source 2.Source 1Source 2Delay1 Press the [Meas] key to display the Measurement Menu.2 Press the Source softkey; then turn the Entry knob to select the firstanalog channel source.3 Press the Type: softkey; then, turn the Entry knob to select Delay.4 Press the Settings softkey to select the second analog channel sourceand slope for the delay measurement. The default Delay settings measure from the rising edge of channel 1 tothe rising edge of channel 2.178 Agilent InfiniiVision 2000 X-Series Oscilloscopes User's Guide
