This directory contains <strong>Caché</strong>-specific DLLs.Changes for Vista• Operating system upgrade requires a new <strong>Caché</strong> installation — Windows Vista introduces significant upward compatibilityissues for programs. Because of this, upgrading to Vista on systems with existing <strong>Caché</strong> installations willalmost certainly cause <strong>Caché</strong> to malfunction.<strong>InterSystems</strong> requires that customers wishing to use Vista install new versions of <strong>Caché</strong>. Existing data and applicationscan be moved via save and restore of the relevant databases. The application should be recompiled.• Security adjustments — Depending on the options chosen, some additional manual adjustments may need to be madeafter installation of <strong>Caché</strong>. See the “Installing <strong>Caché</strong> on Microsoft Windows” chapter of the <strong>Caché</strong> Installation Guidefor details.• Protocol limitations — <strong>Caché</strong> does not support DDP, LAT, or DCP over raw Ethernet under Window Vista. Pleaseconsult the Supported Platforms document for details.• CacheODBC log default location changed — the default location for the log is now under%PUBLIC%\Logs\CacheODBC.log. This directory is accessible by all users and allows just one location for the log tobe created. The old location was under %WINDIR%.
