If the leading IM chooses the harmonized offer dossier handling model, the systemtreats the dossier in the same way as “normal” Ad-Hoc Path Request.RUs do not see the different process types when opening a dossier - Harmonized/Non-Harmonized– this possibility to decide between these two options for offer is given only to the leading IM in thePath Elaboration phase for the special case described above. For simplicity, and also for translatedvariants of process type names, process types “Short Term Path Request” is always understood as“non-harmonized” and for the “harmonized” case we use “Short Term Path Request (Harmonized)”.2.2.5.4 Acceptance, Post –Processing, Final Offer and Active TimetableThe RU is always in position to decide whether the Post-Processing is needed or not. If “Short TermPath Request” is processed in “non-harmonized” mode, the dossier can be transferred fromAcceptance to Active timetable for the RU-IM pair that has both green lights (RU and IM) by usingthe button “Accept”.In the Acceptance phase, the RUs have the two buttons: “Release post-processing” and “Accept”. If“Accept” is used, the Post-processing and Final Offer phases are treated just as milestones, thedossier is transferred directly to Active Timetable. If “Post-processing” is chosen, the phases Postprocessingand Final Offer are interpreted as normal phases.If “Short Term Path Request” is processed in “harmonized” mode (i.e. if leading IM has chosen“Move to Short Term PR Harmonized” during the Path Elaboration), the dossier can be transferredfrom Acceptance to Active timetable by using the button “Accept” only if all RU lights are green. As itwas written above, if this was done, the dossier is transferred directly to Active Timetable and thephases Post-processing and Final Offer are treated as milestones.Furthermore, it is also valid for the leading RU to activate “Post-processing” as it is the case for allother process types. In that case, the dossier has to be switched manually (as for other processtypes) through Post-processing and Final Offer.December 2010 Page 28 of 133
Pathfinder Orange Book Version 2.2.42.3 Type of Dossiers in PathfinderAs already mentioned at the start of this section only orders for new paths go through all phases ofPathfinder. Other enquiries and orders only go through certain phases. For all the cases describedbelow, there are special Dossier types in Pathfinder.2.3.1 DefaultAfter the process type is chosen during the opening of a dossier, the type “Default” is automaticallyset. Other types are contained in the choice box and can be selected, if needed.2.3.2 Status quo pathsA request to continue an existing path into the following timetable period is described as a statusquo path. Status quo paths have their own Dossier type. A request for a status quo path isgenerally created from an existing Dossier by copying it (see also 11.10 Copy Dossier). A statusquo path may pass through all phases of Pathfinder. However, the process is usually quicker,because the basic data is there already.Note: A Status Quo Path copied from a previous Timetable does not mean that the same path willbe allocated the same way. This Status is to facilitate the use of copying dossiers from one periodto another.2.3.3 Changes during the yearChanges to be made during the year are handled exactly like timetable requests or timetablechanges. The modifications follow only our own, national time schedule.2.3.3.1 RejectThe Dossier type “Reject” is for a Dossier which can be deleted.2.3.3.2 Modification to current timetableModifications done during the current timetable can be also signified not only in the Active Timetablephase but also through the dossier type.Due to the TAF-TSI requirements, the particular operations for path cancelation, modification oralteration need to be provided in Pathfinder. However, for practical reasons, the operations for pathcancellation and alteration are interpreted as dossier types in Pathfinder.2.3.3.3 Path cancellation by RUThis dossier type is foreseen only for RUs and can be chosen only in the Active Timetable phaseregardless of the process type. If an IM chooses this dossier type, the system warns about the errorand prevents from changing the dossier type.2.3.3.4 Path alteration by IMThis dossier type is foreseen only for IMs and can be chosen only in the Active Timetable phaseregardless of the process type.
