Pathfinder Orange Book Version 2.2.43.4 Catalogue paths in Pathfinder3.4.1 Entering catalogue pathsLike all other paths, catalogue paths are also stored in Dossiers. The Dossier is identified as type“catalogue”. Catalogue paths are the only ones which can be created by an IM.A catalogue Dossier is created with “Open” status. After release by the IM, the Dossier goesdirectly to “Path Elaboration” status.The compulsory fields have been modified accordingly, so only the minimum information necessaryhas to be entered. No information has to be entered for “Train composition“ or “RU requestedtimetable”.Known train parameters can be entered, or transferred from the planning system.The IM creating the Dossier is entered as the requester, and is at the same time the leading IM.Only the IM’s of the countries involved are entered as participating companies.When the Dossier is drafted, the IM creating it must enter a starting point and destination. If otherIM’s are involved, at least one stop must be entered for each IM.The path from the national planning system that is associated with the Dossier can be identified byits path number and transferred into the Dossier via Integration Platform (web service“updateDossier”, see [3]).3.4.2 Quick entry of catalogue pathsThe function “Quick entry of catalogue paths” was created to allow catalogue paths to be enteredquickly. Catalogue paths can be entered very quickly on the relevant template and linked to thenational planning system.Depending on the catalogue path, the following data must be entered:Dossier name = name or number of the catalogue pathRoute = to be chosen by the RUNational path number = link to the national planning systemOpen status The newly created Dossier is not yet entered in the path catalogue.
