As part of prepar<strong>in</strong>g the form, InfoPath publishes it to a network location of yourchoos<strong>in</strong>g so that it can be accessed by the <strong>SharePo<strong>in</strong>t</strong> adm<strong>in</strong>istrator. Figure 6-16 shows thePublish<strong>in</strong>g Wizard set to prepare a form for adm<strong>in</strong>istrator approval.Figure 6-16. Prepar<strong>in</strong>g a fully trusted form for approvalOnce the form is prepared, it may be uploaded to the central repository. This is accomplishedthrough the Central Adm<strong>in</strong>istration web site. On the Application Management tab,under the InfoPath Forms Services section, click the l<strong>in</strong>k titled Manage Form Templates. Thiswill display the forms stored <strong>in</strong> the central repository and allow you to upload new forms. Dur<strong>in</strong>gthe upload process, you can even have the form validated for errors before it is added tothe repository.After the form is added to the central repository, you may use the drop-down menuassociated with the form to make it available to a site collection on the farm. Select<strong>in</strong>g Activateto a Site Collection from the menu will br<strong>in</strong>g up a page where you can select the sitecollection where the form will be deployed. Click<strong>in</strong>g the OK button deploys the form <strong>in</strong>to alibrary named FormServer Templates. This library is not visible from with<strong>in</strong> <strong>SharePo<strong>in</strong>t</strong>, butyou can see it if you open the site <strong>in</strong> the <strong>SharePo<strong>in</strong>t</strong> Designer. The po<strong>in</strong>t, however, is that onceit’s deployed, you can reference it as a template for a content type with<strong>in</strong> the site collection.Us<strong>in</strong>g the Document Conversions ServiceThe Document Conversions Service <strong>in</strong> MOSS allows you to convert between different types ofdocuments with<strong>in</strong> a library. For example, you can easily convert from a Word document to aweb page us<strong>in</strong>g the out-of-the-box capabilities. Initially, this service is disabled on the farm
