His servicecareer centered in Armor, and he servedin Germany, Vietnam, and the UnitedStates. While at Ft. Knox, Geff supervisedthe creation of the General GeorgePatton Museum. He enjoyed trainingand teaching young soldiers. He retiredfrom the Army as a major. His wife,Tricia; daughter Stephanie; her husband,Shawn Grady; and four grandchildrensurvive him. Hisgreat-grandfather established a law firmin Mt. Holly, N.J., upon his return fromthe Civil War. The websitegenerates sufficient revenue to allowJohn a “perpetual semi-retirement.”Brent D. Glass retired as directorof Smithsonian Institution’s NationalMuseum of American History in mid-August. Since 2005, Brent has servedas a <strong>Lafayette</strong> trustee.Richard N. Lettieri was selectedto the advisory board of the American<strong>College</strong> of e-Neutrals, an organizationdedicated to training, networking, anduse of mediators, arbitrators, masters,judges, and others who are committedto resolving disputes from electronicallystored information. Richard’s LettieriLaw Firm limits its practice to electronicevidence and e-discovery.Gary Masline retired after morethan 30 years as press spokespersonand assistant counsel to an investigatoryand oversight commission in NewYork. In mid-2011, he joined UpstateArtists Guild’s board of directors. Helives with Sharon, whom he marriedduring our sophomore year, and hastwo children, Jeffrey and Sara, andthree grandchildren.Albert Skeath asked me if I knewanyone who needed a copy of the1969 Melange. Since the one I had issomewhere in a property to which Ino longer possess a key, I indicated thatI would like to have it, subsequentlyenjoying email communications withAl. I looked him up in the yearbook tosee his picture, but he did not lookfamiliar. The reason is that Al attendedthe <strong>College</strong>’s evening class program foreight years and therefore was unfamiliarto (and with) most of us. Since he didnot participate in regular <strong>College</strong>activities, he was willing to part withhis yearbook. Al says he still roots for<strong>Lafayette</strong> over Lehigh even though heobtained a master’s in managementscience from Lehigh. He had a careerat PPL and then consulted for 11 yearsfor the U.S. Energy Association inWashington, D.C. He attended morethan 60 international managementconferences/seminars in Eastern Europeand the former Soviet republics,subsequent to the dissolution of theUSSR. Al lives in Allentown, Pa., doesimpersonations of FDR for communitytheater, plays in the baseball WorldSPRING 2012 • lafayette 65
