He now headsstrategic development for Clever Devices,a company that develops technologysystems for improving mass transit.Diane Jakacki now adds a newsuffix to her moniker: Ph.D. (inRenaissance dramatic literature anddigital humanities from GeorgiaInstitute of Technology). Continuingin Atlanta’s hub of higher education,she teaches composition and mediastudies courses and does research onmodern popular culture as a Marion L.Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow.In spring 2011, KathleenKasperkoski McKenzie was named vicepresident of community and civic affairs atWest Penn Allegheny Health System.After receiving her law degree fromUniversity of Pittsburgh and stints withthe city of Pittsburgh and McKenzie &McKenzie, she has continued her careertrajectory at West Penn. She serves oncommunity boards, such as PittsburghDowntown Partnership, LocalGovernment Academy, and PittsburghRegional Healthcare Initiative.A dramatic ’86 trio, Lisa LacrocePatterson, Bill Bunting, and SallyAnnMoscatiello managed a reunion of theirown Nov. 12, visiting New York City fora revival of Godspell and rememberingtheir own performance of the musicalin Colton Chapel in 1986. Others inthe cast who joined them were TomGibbons ’87; from ’88, KatherinePannell, Dawn Arturi-Reynolds, andDavid Walker; and from ’89, JeanneNaughton Carr, Richard Demarco,Jonathan Keiffer, and Jean Toce-McCauley. Gayle was there in official capacityfor Massachusetts General Hospital,and Paul spoke for the electorate.Geoff Kany—alternating betweenAnchorage, Alaska, (with BP Exploration)and Arizona—recalls a postgraduationclimbing trip with Jim Hummerstoneand Doug Campbell to the Ring ofKillarney in Ireland.In a different alternating current,Gary Stephenson has spent much ofhis working life in the field of electricity,most recently as a top executive atDayton Power & Light. Returning withhis family from Maui, he commentedthat it had similar terrain to Ireland. Inhis off-hours, he has been visiting peaks,most recently scaling 14,300 feet ofBlanca Peak in Colorado with fellowengineer Rich Drobner.Don Keller sold his firm, KellerConsulting Engineers, to Borton-Lawson Engineers in May 2011. He andwife Carol now split their time betweentheir horse farm in Nazareth, Pa., andtheir winter home in Winter Haven, Fla.Son Michael, a former Marine, remainsemployed by the government, whiledaughter Amy resides in New York City.Don has three grandchildren.Though it was not the easiest hunkof metal to push up Cattell Street whenit ran out of gas, Chris Nolan’s 1976Ford Pinto (vibrant orange, I believe)was a prized, if not glamorous, pieceof transportation back in the day at<strong>Lafayette</strong>. How fitting that after stintsin the oil and grain banking businessof Salomon Smith Barney (now Citi),the chemical engineering graduate iscontinuing his career as managingdirector at Rabobank, global expertsin areas that include sustainable energy.Meanwhile, Glenn Young worksin the clouds, literally, opening a newbusiness that provides managed services,particularly remote database and systemadministration, in the innovative area ofcloud computing.1987 Edward I.
