Role of ResearchThe specialty will play a vital role in tissue engineering, biomaterials, clinical,and behavioral research.All graduate programs will include basic science and clinical training.Prosthodontic departments will obtain 5% of the total NIDCR budget.Outreach clinical research programs to private practice facilitating the integrationof new technologies into the workforce of prosthodontic specialty care.Have in existence a minimum of five (5) internationally recognizedprosthodontic research centers.Established resources coordinated with private, government and organizationalsupport to ensure the proposed role of research.Page 62010 CDEL Re-recognition of the Specialty Report 36 of 279
