He has climbed <strong>the</strong>stupendous heights through intense and constant struggle. Hedid severe, rigorous spiritual Sadhana. He did profoundNididhyasana (mediation). He spent sleepless nights. He keptlong vigils on several days. He gradually ascended <strong>the</strong>heights, step by step. He took rest in several halting stages. Hepersevered with patience and diligence. He surmounted manyobstacles. He conquered despair, gloom and depression. He isa beacon light to <strong>the</strong> world now. Remember that he was alsorotting in those days in <strong>the</strong> quagmire of Samsara like yourself.You can also ascend to that summit, if only you will.IIThe experiences of Samadhi cannot be described in words.Words are finite. One will have to feel <strong>the</strong> experiences throughdirect spiritual Anubhava. Samadhi is blissful union with <strong>the</strong>Supreme Self devoid of individuality. Just as <strong>the</strong> riverbecomes one with <strong>the</strong> ocean, <strong>the</strong> individual soul becomes onewith <strong>the</strong> Supreme Self. All doubts, fears, sorrows, delusions,dualities and differences disappear.The Samadhist is a liberated sage or Jivanmukta. Nodifficulties or troubles can affect one who is enjoying <strong>the</strong> blissof Nirvikalpa Samadhi. He is ever joyful and happy. He is freefrom Harsha-Shoka (exhilaration and sorrow). He beholds <strong>the</strong>one Self everywhere. He has no identification with <strong>the</strong>physical body.He has cosmic vision and experience.
