He never spoke a word to <strong>the</strong> Guru. Twelve years passed. TheGuru thought: "The student is now ready. His Nadis arepurified. He is Sattvic. He possesses all <strong>the</strong> divine virtues. Heis now fit for higher initiation." He bade <strong>the</strong> student sit infront of him and through pure Sankalpa made <strong>the</strong> KundaliniShakti pass into <strong>the</strong> Sushumna Nadi. The student enjoyed <strong>the</strong>bliss of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. The grace of <strong>the</strong> Guru alone is<strong>the</strong> pass-port for <strong>the</strong> Yogic student to enter into <strong>the</strong> realms of<strong>Divine</strong> Bliss. The grace of <strong>the</strong> Guru can only descend on thatstudent who is doing Purushartha. The Guru showers his gracein exchange for <strong>the</strong> hard-earned merit achieved by <strong>the</strong>disciple. Considerable patience, faith in <strong>the</strong> Guru and rigidSadhana are necessary if one desires to achieve <strong>the</strong> highestgoal of Yoga. The o<strong>the</strong>r student missed <strong>the</strong> goal on account ofimpatience.Even if you are a senior student in <strong>the</strong> spiritual path, thinkalways that you are only a junior student recently initiated.Spiritual pride will not crop up rhen. Practise Yoga now with<strong>the</strong> same fervour, diligence and enthusiasm as you did whenyou first took to this path in those days. The degree of successis in direct proportion to <strong>the</strong> degree of Sadhana and purpose.A selfish man is unrighteous. Attachment and sense ofseparateness are present in him to a remarkable degree. Hecannot develop those qualities which Yoga needs. The desireto become a Yogi and to learn Yoga can only arise in a manwho is free form selfishness, who is righteous and who hasreligious disposition and religious bend of mind. Selfishnessconstricts <strong>the</strong> heart and forces a man to do injury to o<strong>the</strong>rs andto get hold of <strong>the</strong> property of o<strong>the</strong>rs by foul means. It isselfishness that prompts man to do sinful deeds.Rajasic mind always wants new things. It wants variety. Itgets disgusted with monotony.
