The exhibition was organizedto showcase CSIR's expertise in the field of Science & Technology through 15 theme pavilions,particularly on agriculture and floriculture. Rural technologies and products covering stevioside,mobile distillation unit, natural colours and dyes, medicinal and aromatic plants, mini distillationunit, floriculture, biofertilizer, tea wine and RTDs, bamboo charcoal and plant virus testing kitswere displayed. Industry partners of <strong>IHBT</strong> such as M/s Andel Equipments Pvt. Ltd., Mohali andM/s Mahindra Shubhlabh Pvt. Ltd., Mohali also participated along with their products/technology.Several visitors, entrepreneurs and farmers visited the stalls. The showcased theme pavilions baggeda bronze medal.<strong>IHBT</strong> exhibited its technologies and products in a four-day “Rural Technology Mela” organised byNational Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) at its Rural Technology Park, Hyderabad during2-5 February, 2011. The mela was organized to provide platform for technology developers, usersand self help groups to take advantage of various technologies available in different parts of thecountry. <strong>IHBT</strong>’s technologies on stevioside, natural colours and dyes, cultivation and extraction ofessential oils, floriculture and value added tea products were appreciated by visitors. <strong>IHBT</strong> baggedthe best stall award for displaying its innovative processes and products.85
