Dueto the rigid sole the natural rolling off of the foot is changed. The flexion ofthe heads of the metatarsal bones is suppressed. Because of this, the footis immobilised and, therefore, an existing wound is relieved resulting in abetter healing.Relief DemonstrationThe graphic is the result of the pedographical* measuring and shows theplantar pressure distribution during rolling off when wearing the therapeuticshoe KASSEL. The partial pressure relief of the forefoot is clearly visibleon the graphic. *Pedograhy is a biomechanical measuring method todetermine the pressure distribution on the sole of the foot.Sole Design and its Effect10° wedge sole (50:50) without a forefoot support, 40mm thick.Due to the rigid and shortened wedge sole the natural rolling off of the footis changed.
