Hello, Class of ’82. ¶ Hope you all have
had a nice summer. No notes to give
you. I am still very busy working in
the Financial Aid Office here. We are
expecting one of our largest classes of
300 Freshmen! And approx. 98 of the
students are athletes. ¶ Speaking of
athletes, I just spent the first weekend
in Aug. volunteering at the 31st Pan
Mass Challenge to raise money for
cancer over at Babson College. Cancer
has touched everyone. I have been
volunteering for about 5 years now for
the weekend, helpingto register the
riders. So if you ride or know people
who participate, let me know and
maybe we can get a Regis group to
cheer the riders on. ¶ Have wonderful
fall, and I hope to hear from someone
soon. I know you are out there!
of 1983? Please email me! ¶ Gail
McDonough Mulani continues to work
part time for the town of Belmont.
She and her family are looking
forward to a family wedding in a
palace in Jaipur, India. We would
love to see photos. ¶ Over the summer,
I was able to spend time with
Annette Nieves ’82 and her daughter
Nicole, as they stayed with me and
my family between moves. It felt like
we were back in the dorms at Regis! ¶
Although many of us have lost touch
over the years, it would be great to
hear from you and share your news.
Hello, Class of ’85! ¶ Lots to
talk about—starting with
our Reunion! It was way too
much fun for one weekend.
We had nearly 50 classmates
participate throughout the weekend,
from the Friday night cocktail reception
in the ’85 lounge (aka Domitilla)
to the dinner at Morrison House to
the post-dinner party back in the
lounge. And for a bunch of mid-40’s
women, we stayed up WAY too late
chatting and laughing on Friday
night. And yes, the dorms are exactly
as we remembered them. Many common
themes: kids, careers and career
changes, family updates, births,
marriages, passings, divorces—lots
to catch up on after a few decades.
It was amazing how easy it was to
reconnect. Many new friendships as
well—just a terrific time. Our class
was well represented in the Parade
of Classes on Saturday, and we have
posted some pictures on our Reunion
fan page on Facebook. The Alumnae
Luncheon was great the next day,
where several of our classmates
led the group in singing our Alma
Mater. Sheila Prichard was so glad
to see some former RCGC members
(including Lisa Dupuis and Janice
Flynn) join the Alumnae Chorus at
the mass on Saturday afternoon, and
what a surprise to see Deirdre Fahey
at the lobster dinner on Saturday
night! She gets the prize for traveling
the farthest. Melinda Powers gets
the hop-skip-and-a-jump prize for
coming all the way from Weston. Our
classmate Holly Kendrick was in Iraq
—she manages public relations for
the army brass. Getting a direct flight
from Baghdad to Boston was tough,
so we’re hoping to see her at the next
event! Kim Lewis had just had knee
surgery but is now doing well, and
we are looking forward to seeing
her soon. When we see everyone in
person, we’ll fill you in on the lobster
dinner and post-dinner events. We
can’t publicly disclose what actually
happened. Let’s just say we let
our hair down a bit with the 2005
and 1960 Reunion classes back in
Maria pit. Too many people to list
who attended the Reunion fun, but
many, many thanks to Eileen Sullivan,
Sarah Wharton, Melissa DeRusha, and
Gail McDonough Mulani
’83 and her family are
looking forward to
a family wedding in
a palace in
Jaipur, India.
Melinda Powers for making
the Reunion a success! Be sure
to join the group on Facebook for
updates, upcoming events, and
news, news, news!
