engagement to Michael Corcoran!
A summer wedding on Cape Cod is
planned. ¶ Maricarmen Rodriguez
lives in Manhattan and works for The
Burberry Corporation as a manager.
Stay close to her for those Burberry
discounts! She has fully recuperated
from back surgery and is back to her
old healthy self. Maricarmen also
keeps in touch with Maria Carolina
Ortega de Mora from Venezuela. They
meet every year in NYC. ¶ Andrea
Lyons Lawson lives in Billerica with
her husband and 3 children. She
started Lawson Bookkeeping Services
2 years ago, working primarily with
small businesses in various industries.
She also volunteers for her
kids’ 2nd- and 4th-grade classrooms,
and she’s looking for tips from any
classmates who teach Kindergarten
so she can help out in her youngest
son Michael’s class in the fall! The
Lawsons also have a new addition to
their family: Everest, an Italian mastiff
puppy! Good luck with the puppy
training, Andrea. ¶ Lisa Spadafora
Thompson lives in Medfield, MA,
with her husband, John (a Babson
guy), and her 2 kids – Matthew, age
8, and Ella, age 5 (going on 30). Lisa
stays close with her old crew, Kathy
Bouchard Sanger, Kathleen Thompson,
Patti Chiasson, Stacy Erikson Osborne,
Kristen Muckian Giovanniello ’90,
Noreen Kelliher, and Mary Ellen Gillis
DuBois. She also lives in the same
town as Kathleen Feeney Farris and
Nicole Amnott. Lisa recently visited
Sr. Rosenda Gill ’38 with Sr.
Mary Oates at the CSJ home in
Framingham, MA. If you remember
her well, you’ll be happy to hear
that Sr. Rosenda is still a spitfire! ¶
Lisa’s Medfield, MA, neighbor, Kathe
Feeney Farris (who also married
a Babson boy—Is there something
about that town?), and husband Jeff
celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary
with their 2 daughters. Kathe
is well connected with Dawn Polito
Morris, Meg McWilliams Garvey, and
Laura Fahey Murphy. ¶ Dawn-Marie
Polito Morris is living in Burlington,
MA, and has been married for 14
years to husband Derek. Like so
many, Dawn is sad about how fast
her children are growing up. Michael
is 12 and Erin is 10. She now works
at MIT Lincoln Lab in Lexington,
MA, as an SAP Training Consultant.
She keeps in touch with Adrienne
Hammel Aaronson, and Dawn. Meg
McWilliams Garvey, Nicole Amnott
Tongue, and Kathe Feeney Farris
get together every 6 weeks, which is
not an easy task these days. ¶ As for
myself, Regis lost one of her proudest
parents when my father passed
away suddenly after a brief bout
with cancer last Oct. With a wife
and two daughters having graduated
from the College, he was one of the
school’s greatest fans. God bless my
dad. Other than that, life is good, and
I look forward to seeing you all. ¶
Please keep in touch! Remember that
it’s not too early to start thinking
Reunion! Stay tuned to the College
website and the Regis College Class
of 1991 Facebook page for updates.
✒ Audrey Griffin-Goode, 90 Leslie
Road, Waltham, MA 02451, audrey
griffin04@yahoo.com ¶ Hello,
classmates! I hope the spring and
summer have treated you well. I keep
up with many of you on Facebook
and know that many of our New
England classmates have had fun
keeping cool in what is now the 3rd
hottest summer on record. ¶ Two of
our classmates are returning to the
classroom. Diane Lawton Robillard
might be heading back to our alma
mater. She hopes to earn a master’s
degree in Health Administration
from Regis’s new program. Diane
and her family visited Williamsburg,
VA, this summer on vacation. “What
a great trip,” she said, “The Great
Wolf Lodge was the favorite part.” ¶
Duyen Lorette Higginbottom is also
heading back to campus, but not
Regis. Duyen is studying at Regent
University’s School of Divinity.
While she hits the books, she is
also planning for her wedding. “On
my birthday my prince charming
asked me to marry him,” she wrote.
“I have less than 12 months to plan
a wedding. Say a prayer for me!”
Duyen also has a great outlook on
life: “When you hit your 40s, if it
isn’t fun, it just isn’t worth it!” Can
I say, “Amen!?” ¶ Maryann Whitman
Zujewski just accepted a new position
as the Education Specialist for Salem
Maritime National Historic Site and
Saugus Iron Works National Historic
Site. She loves her career with the
National Park Service and is excited
to take this next step. Maryann
has been at the Tsongas Industrial
History Center in Lowell for the last
14 years. The new position means she
will be returning to the workforce full
time. Maryann was working 3 days
per week since her 1st child, Emily,
was born 9 years ago. She writes, “At
least our youngest, Adam, is starting
full-day kindergarten this year. We
are excited to go camping in Acadia
National Park at the end of the
month. Then, on to Salem/Saugus!”
¶ Lise Lague is also on the move
again. Lise and her family have been
transferred to St. Louis, MO, for
the next 2 years. Lise writes, “We
are looking forward to yet another
adventure. If any of you live in the
St. Louis area, please let me know, I
would love to be in touch!” Her youngest,
Caroline, celebrated her 3rd
birthday this summer, and her oldest,
Annabel, will be entering second
grade in the fall. Lise adds that the
girls are “still young enough to make
all these moves without complaining
too much.” ¶ Lynne Frodyma Turmel
is consulting in loyalty marketing
and will launch an innovative loyalty
program for a large convenience
chain in the Southeast. Lynne writes,
“Consulting fits my lifestyle and
provides the necessary flexibility with
the boys. Other than that, built a
must-needed garage in New England
and enjoying the lake.” ¶ As for me
… Well, the big 4-0 came in May,
and my husband, Adam, surprised
me with a party. His secret helper
was Sharon Mulcahy, who graciously
opened her unbelievable design studio
and offered her magical touches for
the event. Regis grads in attendance
were Michelle Barczykowski, Kristen
DePonte, and Jill Rynkowski Doyle
’91. I was totally surprised and had a
great time catching up with everyone.
But I still can’t believe I am 40! ¶
Take care, all, and remember our 20th
Reunion is less than 2 years away!
com ¶ Hi, ladies. ¶ Time to get out
your dancing shoes and dance to the
biggest hit of 1996: the Macarena.
Our 15th Reunion is quickly
approaching and will take place May
20, 21, and 22. Additional information
will follow. Planning for this
event will start this fall. If you are
interested in assisting, please contact
the Alumni Relations Office or send
me an email. ¶ Congratulations are
in order for Kacy Soderquist and Joe
Zurkus, who were married this summer
in Peru. It was a beautiful day
for Kacy and Joe. ¶ I look forward
to hearing from everyone and more
importantly seeing you this spring.
We have a great deal to catch up on.
