• Click on the main body of the actor and drag. The selected actors will follow<br />

the movements of your mouse until you release the mouse button.<br />

Editing Actors<br />

To delete actors:<br />

• Select one or more actors.<br />

• Choose Edit > Clear or press the Delete key. <strong>Isadora</strong> will delete the selected<br />

actors.<br />

To cut or copy a range of actors:<br />

• Select one or more actors.<br />

• Choose Edit > Cut. <strong>Isadora</strong> will cut the selected actors, or<br />

• Choose Edit > Copy. <strong>Isadora</strong> will copy the selected actors.<br />

• Note that when cutting or copying a group of actors, all of the links between<br />

actors in the group will be kept intact. When you paste these actors, the links<br />

that were in place at the time of the cut/copy will be restored.<br />

To paste actors:<br />

• Make sure that the Scene Editor is active by clicking on its background.<br />

• Choose Edit > Paste. <strong>Isadora</strong> will paste the actors that you cut or copied<br />

previously.<br />

• The newly pasted actors will all be selected, so you can click on any one of<br />

them and drag to move them to a new location.<br />

Making Links Between Actors<br />

For <strong>Isadora</strong>’s actors to work together, you must define the way in which the data<br />

moves from one actor to another. You do this by making links between the output<br />

of one actor and the input of another.<br />

Property Types<br />

Each property is of one of the following types:<br />

Integer Number, without a decimal points<br />

Float Number, with decimal points<br />

Boolean Number, only 0 or 1 (often displayed as off or on)<br />

Range A pair of integers, specifying a range of values<br />

Text A string of text characters.<br />

Trigger Number, only 0 or 1 represented as a hyphen (–) and an X.<br />

Whenever a new value arrives, the trigger “pulses”.<br />

Video A video stream<br />

Sound An audio stream<br />

Blobl Blob information from an Eyes++ module.<br />
