Teachers in Charge: Mr. Gregoris Demetriou, Ms.Despina Kaitani, Ms. Maria Evangelidou, Mr. DemosKaoullasAims:Now in its third year running, the 6 th Former’s Clubcontinues to provide its exclusive members with arewarding package, comprised of adventure, daringfeats of action and hearty good old fashioned fun. Weliterally jump started the year with the legendary leapingof students off the marked cliff at Cape Greco into thedeep blue waters below. As summer slipped away wewelcomed autumn on the Go Karts track, where ourL plate graduates put pedal to metal, scraping roundcorners and charging ahead to achieve unbeatable laptimes.Our third club day was spent on the paintballing battlefields of Alethrico where teachers and students foughtfor revenge over bitter classroom disputes gone by.Much paint was spilled.With winter in full swing we pushed ourselves to thelimit, visiting a famous rock face in the Paphos regionto abseil in snowy icy winds. Needless to say, we treatedourselves to tea and hot chocolate waving handsfrantically at a lit fire place straight afterwards!With the sun’s return we headed for the beach onceagain, this time ‘KOT’ in Larnaca. Our aim here wassimply to have fun and relieve the pressure that comeswith being in the final year. We played beach volley,football and even went for a refreshing dip.We would like to take this opportunity to thank thisyears’ group for truly making all seven club days afantastic experience.Teacher in Charge: Mr. Elias KamaratosAims:Over the course of the school year 13 Pascal (Lca)students weathered cold waters and rough seas tosuccessfully complete their SCUBA diving course withAlpha Divers Diving School.Twelve got their PADI SCUBA Diver certificate whiletwo more as well as Mr. Kamaratos achieved theirAdvanced Open Water Certificate. During the last clubdays and with excellent weather conditions they divedin the bay of Larnaca with the Advanced groupachieving 30m on the wreck of the Zenobia.All divers learned what they need to know about divingsafely and having fun doing so. Hopefully next yearthey will have more fun diving with the SCUBA cluband move up to the next certificate.
