• Special behavioural observations (<strong>in</strong>tra- or <strong>in</strong>terspecific): Juvenile owl monkeys<br />

were observed to ride on the backs <strong>of</strong> young acouchis (association was systematically observed<br />

by students).<br />

• Problems and risks (animals, technical, vet. medical): In former associations acouchis<br />

were frequently disturbed by n<strong>in</strong>e-banded armadillos on the ground and stopped<br />

breed<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

• Cause <strong>of</strong> problems and trouble shoot<strong>in</strong>g: N<strong>in</strong>e-banded armadillos were replaced by<br />

larger hairy armadillo. Present-day association can be recommended.<br />
