Scale below.Rewriting & Re-grading Opportunities: This course puts apremium on the motto, “The best writing is re-writing.” Toreward you for your efforts to improve your writing, you canraise your initial score for your radio news story, TV newsstory, radio commercial script, TV commercial script,instructional video script and your video news release. Youmay submit one rewrite per project up to a week after the class following the return ofyour graded script. This doesn’t mean that your first attempt should be unedited firstdrafts. That would be an insult to me and a waste of all our time. Your first draftshould be your best, most polished attempt. Then, if I still see room for improvementin my review of your script, you’ll have a chance to improve it … and your grade. Payspecial attention to following the instruction sheets that accompany each assignment.You will be penalized additional points for failure to follow written instructions,including using the wrong script model. The instructions will always specify the modelto be used. Don’t start with points off for failure to read instructions! No rewrites maybe submitted for your Act I, II and III first drafts.
