50 ANNI D’ATTIVITÀ
Scavolini nasce a Pesaro
nel 1961 per l’intraprendenza
dei fratelli Elvino e Valter
Scavolini che in pochi anni
trasformano la loro piccola
azienda artigianale per la
produzione di cucine, in una
delle più importanti realtà
industriali italiane. La mia
conoscenza di questa industria
risale all’estate del
1970: ai tempi ero Direttore
Marketing, Promozione e
Sviluppo alla Formica Laminati
Plastici Spa e mi recai a
Pesaro con l’Architetto Luigi
Caramella, a cui avevo dato l’incarico di eseguire un progetto
per una nuova cucina per i fratelli Scavolini, con l’obbligo
di utilizzare esclusivamente laminati plastici Formica.
I signori Scavolini già da allora avevano capito l’importanza
del design nel mobile, che permette di mediare fra le
espressioni più avanzate della ricerca e creatività ed i sogni
della gente. Questo è uno dei punti focali che ha contraddistinto
il successo dell’industria pesarese.
Le collaborazioni con designer di fama internazionale, quali
Giugiaro Design, King & Miranda Design, Karim Rashid e
Michael Young, sono seguite negli anni.
La strategia Scavolini ha sempre puntato anche su investimenti
in nuovi impianti, macchinari e prodotti innovativi,
dove il design e la tecnologia si fondono per dare un risultato
armonico e funzionale. Il risultato è una produzione
estremamente ampia che conta oltre 40 modelli e 350 finiture,
in grado di soddisfare le esigenze di qualsiasi cliente
ed il suo budget di spesa. A questi si aggiungono anche le
proposte di ernestomeda, altro marchio del Gruppo. Le
molteplici certificazioni che Scavolini ha ottenuto negli anni
(Sistema Gestione Qualità UNI EN ISO 9001, Sistema
Gestione Ambientale UNI EN ISO 14001, Sistema Gestione
Salute e Sicurezza sul lavoro OHSAS 18001), sono la dimostrazione
della sensibilità e dell’impegno aziendale in questi
ambiti. Particolare attenzione è dedicata anche alla scelta
dei fornitori, che devono rappresentare il meglio del mercato
e dei distributori, tutti professionisti altamente qualificati.

Scavolini was founded in
Pesaro in 1961 by the
enterprising brothers Elvino
and Valter Scavolini, who in
just a few years turned their
small craft business that
made kitchens into one of
Italy’s leading industrial
firms. I first got to know the
company in summer 1970:
at that time I was Marketing,
Promotion and Development
Manager at Formica
Laminati Plastici Spa, and I
went to Pesaro with the
architect Luigi Caramella,
whom I had entrusted with a project for a new kitchen for
the Scavolini brothers, with the condition that only Formica
plastic laminates were to be used.
Even then the Scavolinis were well aware of the importance
of design for furniture, because it is design that makes it
possible to combine the finest leading-edge research with
creativity, with people’s dreams.
This is one of the keys to the success of Scavolini.
Over the years, the company has worked together with
designers and design firms of international renown, such as
Giugiaro Design, King & Miranda Design, Karim Rashid and
Michael Young. Scavolini’s strategy has always focused
also on investment in new plants, machinery and innovative
products, where design and technology blend to create a
beautifully smooth, functional result. This has allowed the
Pesaro company to produce an extremely wide range of
products, comprising over 40 models and 350 finishes,
with something for every taste and every pocket.
These models are joined by those by Ernestomeda, another
of the Group’s brands. The large number of certifications
Scavolini has obtained over the years (UNI EN ISO 9001
Quality Management System, UNI EN ISO 14001
Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001
Workplace Health and Safety Management System)
demonstrate the company’s sensitivity and commitment to
these issues. Particular attention is paid to the choice of
suppliers, who must be the best on the market, and distri-
