Per dare una idea del volume degli affari, posso citare le
statistiche Import-Export del legno tra l’Austria e l’Italia nel
2010, da cui risulta che l’Austria importa dall’Italia
€ 59.525.218 ed esporta in Italia € 1.218.675.268.
Entrando nel dettaglio posso precisare che la quota maggiore
è detenuta dai segati, con 606.815.863 euro (cioè circa il
50%) di export dall’Austria verso l’Italia, contro un import di
15.371.217. Naturalmente un aspetto del nostro lavoro è
anche quello di promuovere gli investimenti stranieri in
Austria e per questo il nostro Stato dispone di un’Agenzia
Federale a Vienna che si chiama ABA (Austrian Business
Agency). Per questo tipo di attività, l’Austria, offre vantaggi
nella ricerca e negli investimenti. Le aziende interessate possono

A closer look at these figures shows that sawn wood
accounts for the lion’s share, with € 606,815,863 (i.e.
around 50%) in exports from Austria to Italy, compared to
imports of € 15,371,217. Of course, one aspect of our work
is to encourage foreign investments in Austria, and this is
why we have a Federal agency in Vienna, the Austrian
Business Agency (ABA). For this type of activity, Austria
