June 26-29, 2008, the Akademische Marketinggesellschaft<br />
e.V. held its regular meeting<br />
and doctoral seminar, organized by the Chair<br />
<strong>of</strong> Marketing <strong>Management</strong>. This year, the<br />
venue was the Breuninger premises in Stuttgart<br />
where, besides presentations and<br />
discussions <strong>of</strong> current dissertation and<br />
research topics, a highlight was certainly<br />
the presentation <strong>of</strong> the Festschrift on the<br />
occasion <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Dr. Manfred Kirchgeorg’s<br />
50 th birthday. A presentation was<br />
also made to Felix Kreutzmüller for the best<br />
marketing diploma thesis at <strong>HHL</strong>.<br />
On July 26, the Akademische Marketinggesellschaft<br />
e.V. Marketing Prize for the most<br />
outstanding marketing graduate in 2008<br />
(worth 500 EUR) was awarded to Alexander<br />
Knauer at <strong>HHL</strong>’s graduation ceremony.<br />

It may look different<br />
but the content<br />
is the same:<br />
a Chinese-lan-<br />
guage version <strong>of</strong><br />
“Trade Show <strong>Management</strong>”<br />
was<br />
launched in China<br />
in August 2008.<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Dr. Man-<br />
fred Kirchgeorg<br />
and his three co-editors had already pub-<br />
lished the handbook, which comprises over 80<br />
articles by experts, managers and researchers<br />
in the field <strong>of</strong> trade show management, in German<br />
and English in 2005, but the new edition<br />
now makes the unique work available to Chinese<br />
readers as well. The book is published<br />
by the well-known Shanghai University <strong>of</strong> Finance<br />
and Economics Press.<br />
