Respect myself and others and to demonstrate due care with my own property, the property of<br />
others and that of the school, including textbook and computer resources.<br />
Act politely and in a co-operative way while at school and while travelling to and from school,<br />
knowing that proper relationships with other people constitute a most important part of my growth<br />
and development.<br />
College Policy Expectations<br />

Be neatly dressed on school days in the complete school uni<strong>for</strong>m and on sports days, in the complete<br />
sports uni<strong>for</strong>m. Full school uni<strong>for</strong>m must be worn to and from the College.<br />
Abide by the College sun safety policy requiring a hat to be worn. I will have both an Academic and<br />
Sports hat available to wear.<br />
Assume responsibility, with the help of my teachers, <strong>for</strong> my own work and study and <strong>for</strong> the<br />
submission of class work and assignment items by due dates.<br />
Abide by the College regulations in respect to hair, make-up, jewellery and personal grooming.<br />
Take part in all excursions, retreat days, camps and other outings, as determined by the College<br />
curriculum.<br />
Attend school, and all classes, regularly and punctually.<br />
Abide by the College Electronic Communication Devices Policy and Internet Usage Policy regarding all<br />
electronic technology, including the use of mobile phones, iPods, cameras and computers.<br />
Abide by the College policy relating to use and possession of drugs, alcohol or other prohibited<br />
substances at school or school-related activities.<br />
It is St Margaret Mary’s College policy that all students should attend school <strong>for</strong> at least 80% of the school year.<br />
If a student does not attend school <strong>for</strong> that stated period of time, consideration may be given to the following<br />
options:<br />
a) Contact with the Queensland Studies Authority will be made to check if a Queensland Certificate of<br />
Education should be given; and / or<br />
b) Entitlement to participate in or attend certain end of year ceremonies could be withdrawn; and / or<br />
c) Enrolment at St Margaret Mary’s College may be terminated.<br />
