2 PUPIL ATTITUDES PASS Interpretation & Analysis Services GL Assessment has developed a series of Interpretation & Analysis Services for Pupil Attitudes to Self and School (PASS), designed to help schools realise the full potential of their PASS data. Whilst PASS report data gives you a complete overview of a pupil’s attitudes towards themselves as learners and their attitudes towards school, effective interpretation and analysis empowers teachers and SENCOs to build effective intervention programmes and target support to those most in need. This in turn helps raise standards of attainment and pupil wellbeing. Various levels of support are offered, enabling you to choose the level of support most suitable to your needs. The levels of support are outlined below. Local Workshop Workshops held on your premises provide a guided analysis of PASS data, with opportunities to reflect as well as discuss approaches with colleagues. Led by an experienced facilitator with Senior Leadership experience, workshops can focus on: • Understanding PASS assessment and interpreting the 9 factors at strategic and operational levels • Sharing and using PASS information to inform work with students, teachers, multi-agency teams and parents • Using PASS to set smarter monitoring and tracking targets: – to improve student well-being, behaviour and attendance – provide effective personalised learning for students working at all levels of ability – to reduce disaffection • Using PASS to identify successful strategies for your school context Please call 84 6 2 937 or email pds@glassessment.co.uk for further information or to organise booking one of our PASS Interpretation & Analysis Services Workshops are based on our Professional Development Modules, designed to allow maximum flexibility for use in school or with a cluster of schools. Two modules (D5 and D6) have been specifically developed to support schools in getting the most from PASS. Each module is delivered to groups by an experienced, professional facilitator during a three-hour face-to-face session, making it possible to slot in as an afterschool session. £ Available from £ + VAT or less per participant. (Designed to be delivered on-site with a minimum cost of £ + VAT for up to participants. A maximum group size of 2 also applies. This is charged at only £7 +VAT, reducing significantly the cost per person for larger groups. These modules are provided by GL Performance, our school improvement division, and provide a comprehensive solution for your wider Professional Development need. Many modules are at Masters level with accreditation from Bath Spa University. As part of the service, schools are partnered with a skilled and experienced facilitator who helps you get to the heart of your data, identify the key questions and map out the next steps to address these. To enable the depth of analysis required, schools must allow their facilitator prior access to their PASS data. Our Consultancy Service gives schools the opportunity of exploring in detail the key questions arising from the commentary, highlighting and prioritising appropriate strategies for improving pupil well-being and learning. Includes consideration of how PASS integrates with other data in schools to target hard to reach groups, such as fragile learners. £ £7 +VAT A word on Quality Assurance To ensure our services have maximum input, our accredited facilitators have extensive experience at senior leadership level in schools and are all experienced in working with schools on the use of data to inform school improvement and review. In addition, our ISO 27001 accreditation means your data is safe with us. Utilising the same award-winning methodology as PASS, GL Assessment has developed attitudinal surveys for use by parents/carers 'Parents Attitudes to their Childs Education' (PACE) and teachers ‘Staff and Teachers Attitude Questionnaire’ (STAQ). Fully standardised, this 30 minute test is an ideal tool for screening an entire year group or just those pupils showing some signs of difficulty.
