The elated Church thinks that nothing can spoil this day, not even Ryan moaning as usual about being hungry. Sue tells Church that Granny pearl and Grandpa Jack, their spirit keeper and guide, had already popped in through a portal and visited them, but they had to leave as something urgent was happening in the spirit world. However, the astonishing conversation that Church will have with a strange entity on his arrival home was about to ruin his perfect day.

“It has to be: it will carry the survival and hopes for our race to the stars<br />
and find a new home.” said George, who then shouted over to the<br />
technician in one section, marked NANO-BOTICS.<br />
“Keep an eye on the nano-bot levels in the star-drive coolant.”<br />
The technician stopped what he was doing. He looked up at the display<br />
screens, at the section George had noticed. A small gauge within an<br />
array of white digital gauges now glowed orange.<br />
“Sorry, sir,” said the technician as he hurriedly made adjustments. A<br />
notice came onto the screen.<br />
Nano-bots in production for section 3B -169C. The gauge returned to<br />
white and the embarrassed technician went back to monitoring, but<br />
paying more attention.<br />
“Do you want to sit in the Captains chair? Asked George.<br />
George spent the rest of the day showing the team around the gigantic<br />
craft. They had only managed to see a fraction of the ship, but they had<br />
seen other sections before and felt they had seen enough.<br />
George was an enthusiastic tour guide and explained about other<br />
countries Ark’s progress.<br />
"They are all at the same stage of completion. There are now twenty<br />
Arks built around the globe."<br />

While flying back to George’s house, he chatted about the USS Hope.<br />
Church, Pinky, and Ryan communicated amongst themselves, with<br />
George unaware of their conversation, until Ryan asked him.
