APPENDIX 3<br />

(18+19) Goal-Line Cameras<br />

• Two cameras located on the same side as the main camera, level with the goal-line and with an<br />

unobstructed view of the whole goal and the goal-line inside the penalty area<br />

(20+21) Hot Head Cameras<br />

• A “hot head” camera may be used behind goals in front of the advertising boards. Alternatively, hot<br />

head cameras on poles behind the advertising boards may be used<br />

(22, 23, 24 and 25) Corner Cameras<br />

• Options for cameras to be placed in all four corners approximately five metres above the pitch.<br />

• A minimum of two diagonally opposing corners should always be available<br />

• Large lenses may be required<br />

• (Camera 9 on the UK Non-Live Camera Plan, and only one of the three shown will be used)<br />

APPENDICES TO THE RULES<br />

(26, 27, 28 and 29) Electronic Newsgathering (ENG) Cameras<br />

• Four portable ENG cameras (not cabled) at pitch level, behind each goal-line.<br />

• These cameras would need to be positioned outside (nearer the touchline) the cabled Host<br />

Broadcaster Cameras and would be required to be fixed during each half<br />

• There may be a requirement for these cameras to change ends at half-time subject<br />

(30 and 31) Hi Motion Or Big Lens Close Up Cameras<br />

• Two cameras, one at each end, at pitch level behind each goal-line, ideally aligned where the 6yd line<br />

meets the goal-line, or between 6yd and 18yd line should the small lens camera already be in place<br />

• Large lenses may be required<br />

(32 and 33) Analysis Cameras<br />

• Two cameras positioned on the Television Gantry. If space is not available on the main gantry then<br />

suitable positions must be made available near to, and at a similar level to, the main gantry and not<br />

more than 20m from the half-way line<br />

• Large lenses may be required<br />

3D CAMERA POSITIONS<br />

Note: Bracketed numbers refer to camera positions in UK Live + 3D Camera Plan<br />

(3D-1) Main Camera<br />

• Positioned on Television Gantry or a separate gantry on the halfway line facing away from the sun<br />

• Ideal angle is 6-8 degrees to centre line & 12-14 degrees from near-side touchline<br />

(3D-2) Close-Up Camera<br />

• Positioned on Television Gantry or a separate gantry on the halfway line in close proximity to<br />

Camera 3D-1, facing away from the sun. Ideal angle is 6-8 degrees to centre line & 12-14 degrees<br />

from near-side touchline<br />
