A Mountain of<br />
Troubles<br />
As soon as <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra became Khalifah, he had<br />
to face a mountain of problems and danger. On the one side, there<br />
were false claimants to prophethood who had raised the flag of<br />
rebellion. And on the other side, there were those who had left Islam<br />
and declared rebellion against the Khalifah. The issue of those who<br />
refused to pay the Zakat (required donations fixed in Islam as a part<br />
of faith) was another difficulty. Along with all these problems the<br />
departure of the expedition of <strong>Hadrat</strong> Usamah bin Zaid ra was also<br />
a cause of concern. The Holy Prophet sa had ordered this expedition<br />
before passing away, however, it had not yet left Madinah. In<br />
short, there were storms brewing from all directions and they were
