The Battle of Tabuk<br />
At the beginning of this book, you read that during<br />
one battle, <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra gave all his money to the cause<br />
of Islam. This incident took place during the Battle of Tabuk.<br />
<strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra accompanied the Holy Prophet sa during<br />
this battle. When the Holy Prophet sa asked for donations for<br />
this battle, <strong>Hadrat</strong> ‘Umar ra had a lot of money at the time.<br />
<strong>Hadrat</strong> ‘Umar ra relates that he thought, “This time, I will<br />
certainly come out ahead in donations compared to <strong>Hadrat</strong><br />
<strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra .” He brought half of all his worldly possessions<br />
and offered them to the Holy Prophet sa . He relates, “I was<br />
