The Conquest<br />
of Makkah<br />
The Treaty of Hudaibiyah had allowed the tribes of<br />
Arabia to form allainces. These alliances were meant to provide<br />
mutual support and protection. Both the Muslims and the Quraish<br />
of Makkah formed such alliances. The Khuza‘ah tribe was allied<br />
with the Muslims. In the eighth year after Hijrah, during the month<br />
of Ramadan the Banu <strong>Bakr</strong> attacked this tribe. The Banu <strong>Bakr</strong> tribe<br />
was allied with the Quraish, so the Quraish helped them and took<br />
part in the fighting against the Khuza‘ah. The Khuza‘ah called on<br />
their Muslim allies for help. In accordance with their treaty, the<br />
Holy Prophet sa left Madinah on the tenth of Ramadan with ten<br />
