An Evil Plot<br />
Soon only the Holy Prophet sa and a few other Muslim<br />
families, including <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra , were left in Makkah. When<br />
<strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra asked for permission to go to Yathrib, the Holy<br />
Prophet sa said, “Do not leave yet. It is possible that Allah will<br />
provide you with a companion on your travel who will be able to<br />
help you during the journey.” <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra understood from<br />
this that the Holy Prophet sa wanted him to accompany him when<br />
the time came to migrate. Therefore, he started to prepare for the<br />
journey, buying two strong camels and feeding them pods from the<br />
acacia tree so that they would be ready to travel. He also retained a<br />
man, ‘Abdullah bin ‘Uraiqat, as his servant to show them the way.
