The Father of ‘A’ishah<br />
When the boycott was finally lifted in the tenth year of the<br />
Call, <strong>Hadrat</strong> Khadijah ra , the Holy Prophet’s sa beloved wife passed<br />
away. As marriage is a duty in Islam, the Holy Prophet sa began to<br />
pray for guidance about his second marriage. Allah showed him<br />
through a dream that He had chosen <strong>Hadrat</strong> ‘A’ishah, the daughter<br />
of <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra to be his wife.<br />
When the proposal was taken to <strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra and his<br />
wife Ummi Rumman ra , at first they were both astonished. They said,<br />
“How is this possible? The Holy Prophet sa is our brother.” The Holy<br />
Prophet sa then sent word that spiritual brotherhood does not affect<br />
