battle had begun, when the one-on-one challenge was taking place,<br />
<strong>Hadrat</strong> <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra displayed his extreme loyalty and high level of<br />
sacrifice. His son, ‘Abdur-Rahman, appeared from the side of the<br />
disbelievers, and challenged any of the Muslims to duel. <strong>Hadrat</strong><br />
<strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Bakr</strong> ra unsheathed his sword and asked the Holy Prophet sa for<br />
permission to fight, but the Holy Prophet sa did not grant it.<br />
