IRSHAD
MANJI
Irshad is a Canadian author, educator at New York University
and the Human Condition Labs, advocate of a “reformist”
interpretation of Islam, and the founder and director of the
Moral Courage Project. As a faithful Muslim feminist, Irshad
openly stands up for liberty and love, and
practices ‘moral courage’— doing the right
thing in the face of your fears. The New
York Times previously described Professor
Irshad Manji as “Osama bin Laden’s worst
nightmare.” In the closing keynote, Irshad will
challenge us to draw on our moral courage
in becoming “gutsy, global citizens.” Don’t miss this outspoken,
compassionate speaker, who Oprah Winfrey gave the first
annual Chutzpah Award for “audacity, nerve, boldness and
conviction.” You will see why.
